It is Travel Resorts of America’s pleasure to announce the 11th resort property added to the TRA family of private RV and Camping membership resorts. Thousand Palm Resort, in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida!!
Thousand Palms Resort is located 89 miles west of Luna Sands Resort in Sumpter County. Whether you enjoy air boat rides through the Florida wetlands, viewing world class wildlife, horseback riding, boating, fishing for largemouth bass, ziplining, Busch Gardens in nearby Tampa, Orlando attractions such as Disney and Universal Studios, attending a pro sporting event such as The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Renting an ATV, eating deep Florida cuisine, getting a massage, or just hanging at the resort pool, Thousand Palms will meet all your vacation needs.
Thousand Palm already has 96 seasonal sites and the ability to expand an additional 80 membership sites on the adjacent 20 undeveloped acres. This allows TRA the time to create and make available more Florida member sites than ever before. Camping under the old growth Florida Oak Trees creates a uniquely private Florida camping experience.

We went to the Gettysburg Battlefield Campground. It was beautiful. Everyone was very friendly and the campground is very well taken care of. Shout out to Brooks who took us on the tour and gave us all the ins and outs of the membership. We are excited to start camping at all the campgrounds and see all the wonderful places.
We love Sycamore Lodge. We are considered to be “local” since we live only 20 minutes away. We love being able to go down for the day as well as taking the motor home for longer times to get away. Most everyone is friendly and welcoming.
Loved the facility and the staff was top notch. It was awesome that Gettysburg has a bus that stops right at the resort to take you into town or all the way to Harrisburg. And an all day pass was only $3.00. We will definitely be returning and hope to stay longer.
