Well, hello 2022!! Did you know 2022 is the year of the Tiger? According to the Chinese Zodiac, people born in the Year of the Tiger are courageous and active people who love a good challenge and adventure in life. A whole lot of our members must be Tigers then, for that describes every member at GBR that we know! Come to think of it, that applies to all our staff as well!
In Activities, we have already started planning a calendar of events that will be sure to be roaring fun for everyone! We will start off with Easter (April 15th –17th) and the E.B. himself will be here to make sure everyone has a hoppy good time! The following weekend (April 22nd-25th) we will be celebrating Earth Day, and on April 29th – May 1st, it’s the GBR Amazing Race!
There are some weekends when members might want to plan to bring special items or costumes to participate, so we are giving you a sneak peek!
(1) June 4th – GBR Prom ~ This year our theme is “We Go Together!” Think famous couples like Bonnie and Clyde, Johnny and June or dress as things that go together, like peanut butter and jelly. For inspiration, curl up with some hot cocoa and popcorn and watch the movie “Never Been Kissed.”
(2) June 10th – June 12th ~ It’s our Luau Weekend, so pack your Hawaiian shirts and coconut skirts!
(3) June 25th – It’s a Crazy 80s dance, so dig out your legwarmers, bomber jackets and fingerless gloves!
(4) August 19th – August 21st ~ Country Fair Weekend – bring your crafts and baked goods to enter the GBR Fair. You could win a blue ribbon!
(5) September 23rd – 25th ~ It’s our Superheroes Fight Cancer Weekend! Dress in your favourite superhero costume to honour a loved one’s fight against cancer!
And just a reminder – our Craft Shows will continue to be on the 4th Saturday of every month beginning in April and ending in October. Then we will have a Christmas Bazaar December 3rd! All tables are free!
January has made her presence known with cold winds, snow flurries creeping in, and the trees have finally dropped all their leaves.
Goodbye to December and we are giving our thanks to all the members that were with us during the BIG thanksgiving feast.

I see the colours everywhere as I drive around this beautiful place, we call Rocky Fork Ranch.
As the weather gets a little colder each night, we all snuggle one step closer to the campfire. The leaves have almost finished falling and everything looks beautiful. What a perfect season we have here in Georgia.
