Sycamore Lodge Resort September 2021 Updates

August, you were a hot month, but it was a blast full of murder mystery, fundraising for the local fire department at the carnival, and then ending with a trip to the airstrip.  September don’t forget the cookout and bring a side dish for Labor Day celebration.  Appreciation weekend for the first responders will be celebrated with fire trucks and crafts. Casino weekend will be interesting with games, prizes, and an auction.  There will be a flea market also.  The month will end with a Native American Weekend to learn about crafts, soap carving and more.

Maintenance and grounds are working hard with repairing wood and putting a new coat of paint on everything, weather permitting of course with the afternoon thunderstorms. But the paint doesn’t stop there. Grounds has been working hard with trimming bushes and trees for the whole resort.  They also have located a dead tree and would like to see if a member who is a tree artist would like to carve something amazing into it. Please let management know and a sketch of the art so we can make it happen.

A long time ago in a campground a far away.  There was an issue of a broken fountain in a lake. This fountain was amazingly wonderful with lights and spray that would make ripples in the water. One day this said fountain broke. It was sad day and different energy in the campground. UNTIL…… the new one was ordered. The order was placed, and members were buzzing and couldn’t wait for it to show. The days turned to weeks…. weeks turned to months………. then management found out about a wiring shortage….and when hope was all but lost…the fountain had arrived.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased to announce our new fountain has arrived! We will install it as soon as we can, and I cannot for you to see it.

On a serious note, an update to the resort:

Fall is in the air! Housekeeping is prepped and ready for the fall décor and cannot wait for everyone to see what will happen. Pumpkin and falls leave galore everywhere!
